Mint[i] is an ingredient in our peaceful breath tea which assists with subduing the symptoms of respiratory allergies & infections.

The respiratory system is sectioned into two parts. The upper respiratory tract which consists of the nose, mouth, sinuses, upper section of the throat (pharynx) and voice box (larynx). The lower respiratory tract consists of the windpipe (trachea), bronchial tubes and lungs.

Around the world the varieties of the Mint plant have been serving as a treatment for respiratory allergies and infections since antiquity. Its menthol properties help prevent the growth or spread of bacteria, give a sensation of cooling, and has a temporary numbing effect which relives pain in the throat, headaches, soothes swollen mucous membranes (tissue lining the nasal cavity) in the nose and loosen up mucus in the respiratory pathway. Its numbing effects also ease the urge to cough.

  • Allergies: Negative reaction to certain substances such as dust, pollen, or the hair of certain animals.

  • Infections: Upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) is a common viral infection that affects the nose, throat, and airways. Severe upper respiratory tract infections include rhinitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, and laryngitis. The start of symptoms begins one to three days after exposure and lasts 7–10 days and can continue up to 3 weeks.
