A- & B Status, Fall & Winter Illnesses of 2020

The awareness of common Fall & Winter illnesses we would normally be conscious about around this time of year. Has taken a backseat in lieu of the COVID-19 pandemic. Colds, RSV, Influenza, Croup, Pneumonia, Strep Throat, & Stomach Flu; A- & B status in the public’s eye. Does not make them any less prevalent or threatening.

In the United States flu season typically starts in October. Articles are out saying how the Southern Hemisphere practically skipped their Flu season due to social distancing practices being in place. So, how will the Northern Hemisphere Flu season fare in similarity? That may be one of the questions whirling around on the minds of the healthcare professionals. Even if the public is rightfully so and not necessarily on purpose wearing COVID-19 blinders.
